In Lahore, there is a wide-spread rumor these days and it says that a strange call comes to your cell phone and sort of blows up your cell while u try to listen to the call, leaving u *dead* :) ..... Pretty interesting that a huge population of completely educated people ( i say completely educated cuz it includes qualified telecommunications egineers ) actually, really, and *totally* beleives in this rumor and have stopped using their cell phones. It never got worse than that in lahore before :) ... pretty amazing and pretty funny! I say its good in a way cuz in lahore pakistan in general, we have a lot of issues that get discussed eg cricket (we lost really really bad few days back in the worldcup), politics (whats the president upto?), prices getting higher and higher, and lot of similar topics that really gets people angry (including me:) (thats y I just dont read the newspaper). So rumors like this cell phone thing, gives us a lot of good laughs every time this topic is brought up, and every one around u has something new funny to say :).
